HPA Member Newsletter 001
Dear HPA Affiliate,
Happy New Year! We are excited to touch base with you about our new services
and events for 2007. The HPA has been going through some wonderful changes.
We are growing as an association, and will be adding benefits to your
membership. We are excited about the expansion of the HPA, and look forward
to your continued participation.
Mission:
You may notice that our sub-title has changed. As a result of our expansion, we are now called, "Holistic Pediatric Association: The Alliance for Holistic Family Health and Wellness." This change reflects our new direction. We are committed to helping you create larger networks of practitioners that deliver wellness care to the pediatric population. The HPA Alliance welcomes all practitioners into the community, who provide health choices to families beginning at pre-conception, and extending through childhood into adulthood. In reality, health for children is part of a whole dynamic - the family wellness dynamic.
With this expansion of our vision, we are already forming alliances with
practitioners who provide pre-natal care, such as midwives, doulas
and holistic obstetricians, to complement our current membership of holistic
pediatricians, family practitioners and chiropractors. We also welcome
family practitioners who incorporate healing for the mind, body and
spirit as well. Look forward to meeting new members who serve the family
wellness lifestyle with counseling services from pre-conception through
childhood, for all family members.
Membership Benefits:
Our membership benefits continue to include our on-line resources,
e-newsletters and discounts to professional seminars for practitioners.
For those of you who are still current with your membership, you will notice
that an additional benefit came in the mail, the magazine, Pathways to
Family Wellness. Annual subscription to this quarterly, full color magazine
is now an HPA Alliance membership benefit. Enjoy the diverse, thought provoking
articles and share its vital message with your patients and colleagues.
To see if your membership is still current, please check our
on-line referral directory here: http://www.hpakids.org/locator/index.php If
your listing does not come up, it means your membership has expired. To
renew your membership, please visit: http://www.hpakids.org/membership.htm
For those of you who have not yet had the opportunity to read
Pathways magazine, you can e-mail us with your name and complete
mailing address and we will send a copy to you. Please contact
us at support@hpakids.org with
your request and put "Complimentary Pathways" in your subject
box.
Seminars:
The HPA forms alliances with various seminars and organizations
to offer practitioners the opportunities to expand their
holistic skills for maintaining family wellness. In early 2007
we have several informative classes to refer you to. All current HPA members
receive a discount on these classes.
To read more and register for these classes visit: http://www.hpakids.org%5CSeminars%5CHolisticSpring07.htm
We will be in touch shortly to update you with more information about our growth and increased services. Until then... be well,
Jeanne Ohm, DC
HPA Executive Secretary.
