Robert F Kennnedy Jr., the environmental lawyer, has published an exposé of the mercury/thimerosal vaccine cover-up and conspiracy by the CDC in collusion with the pharmaceutical industry and Senate Majority Leader Dr. Bill Frist. The article appears in the current issue of Rolling Stone and simultaneously on the Salon.com website.

Kennedy focuses on the thimerosal - autism connection with typical swashbuckling candor. He probes into the secret documents he obtained from the CDC and FDA describing their collusion with pharmaceutical companies and politicians to hide information linking thimerosal to neurological problems in children. He documents the $873,000 paid to Bill Frist by pharmaceutical companies while he attempted to shield them from lawsuits and subpoenas related to vaccine damages. He accuses Frist of receiving payments for writing a rider into the Homeland Security Bill known as the Eli Lilly Protection Act to keep the pharmaceutical giant free of those lawsuits.

Meanwhile Kennedy did three related interviews for ABC slated for the prime shows ABC World News Tonight, 20/20, and Good Morning America. However, executives at ABC reportedly ordered the interviews killed because of their controversial content. The pharmaceutical industry is a major sponsor of ABC. For example in 2001 Emory University researchers determined that during one week of television viewing the networks ABC, CBS, and NBC in the Atlanta area ran 907 advertisements for over-the-counter drugs and 428 advertisements for prescription drugs. Then ABC apparently reversed their decision, saying the shows would be aired, and denied the "rumor" about the internal censorship. "ABC News is hard at work on that report. We will air when and if we deem it ready, as our audience would expect."
